With valentines day coming up I thought a purple smokey eye might be a little more unique than the classic pink and red which we all tend to gravitate towards and since I got so many compliments about the makeup in I did for my most recent look post which you can see here, I figured I’d share just how I managed to pull it off. The Sunday morning Kealin came over to shoot my Missguided look and the first thing she said was “your makeup is stunning, I love your eyeshadow”. Immediately I grabbed the 502 Glamour HD Palette from Hean Cosmetics and proceeded to gush about how impressed I was with the texture, payoff and shadow combinations.
Super pigmented, buttery and easily blendable shadows make up this stunning set. From initial application to final smokey blend, this 5 pan palette really impressed me.
I found that the eyeshadow was best applied over the primer included in the special edition pack and set with the lightest colour numbered 848. This colour is also perfect for highlighting the inner corner of the eye. I proceeded to dust the light pink colour (802) all over my lid and the darker pink colour (808) into the crease and sweeping it from the outer to the inner corner of the eye. The purple shade (512) got picked up next and I focused it in the crease, blending it out using the essence blending brush and finally I really focused the deep purple (892) in the outer-v of my eye and blended it up, down and inwards with a clean essence blending brush.
These cruelty-free, fragrance-free and hypoallergenic shadows can be purchased on Glamore cosmetics website here, just in time for Valentines day. It’s the perfect gift for that special woman in your life or just as a treat for yourself.
