Staple

Pieces that transition well from season to season and are easily paired with existing items is what I call staple pieces. A crisp shirt, a little black or white dress and shoes you can dance the night away in without numbing your toes or blistering your feet.

I’ve really been loving H&M lately. I’m able to purchase “everyday staple pieces” without breaking the bank or have buyers guilt. Every purchase is an investment and who can say no to a bargain.

You’ll be seeing more pieces from H&M coming to this blog but also getting back to my own designs so keep an eye on the blog for future endeavours by subscribing and following on twitter, instagram and facebook.

I wore this outfit to the 3rd edition of the KFM Summer Sessions with 4th Street Wine at Eden on the Bay.

I paired this simple staple t-shirt dress from H&M with one of my all time favourite pieces, a Kimono from Cotton On and these affordable and yet stylish pair of gold sandals from Mr Price. Nothing cost over R150 and because these pieces are strong on their own, each is perfectly paired with anything else in my closet.
